Holyrood House in Edinburgh

Holyrood House at the low (east) end of the Royal Mile is the residence used by the British Royal Family when they're in Edinburgh. If you show up when they're there, you won't get a tour. No photographs allowed inside (lots of portraits of dead kings and queens on the walls) but one of the most photogenic subjects is outside: the abbey.
